New schools are opening in many parts of the nation by industry branded product companies, along with merger and acquisition activities by some of the larger school chains. In short, the face of the beauty school is changing. Schools are investing in remodeling projects and expanding the programs that they offer to potential students, all in an effort to raise the bar and create a competitive advantage in their marketplace for their schools. ABC | Cutting Hair the Sassoon Way is probably the finest new program of its kind available for discerning schools and heralds the entry of a new era in education standards for students.
THE PROGRAM
ABC | Cutting Hair the Sassoon Way is a program that is designed to teach students how to cut hair the Sassoon way and is available exclusively through Nuts and Bolts Training Company. The program is delivered through the ABC DVD series and the ABC Manual, which contains fully illustrated step by step photographs and technical drawings, then facilitated by specially trained instructors. Each student will purchase their own ABC DVD and ABC manual, and each school will be required to send their instructors to the Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, CA for two weeks of training on the ABC techniques and annually thereafter for a one week refresher course.
Schools who use the ABC program will be known as a School Connection Member | North America
- Once per year a Sassoon team member will visit the School for two days of demonstration and hands on training for instructors and senior students.
- Students will receive a certificate of attendance from Sassoon to enhance their resume.
- Students will receive a voucher entitling them to 15% savings on selected advanced education courses in all North American Sassoon Academy locations.
MARKETING OPPORTUNITIES
Becoming known as a School Connection Member has its advantages, and in time as future plans are realized there will be even more reasons to belong. Here are some of the current benefits:
Not every school will be able to offer the ABC Program, therefore providing a School Connection Member with a competitive advantage.
- Being known as a School Connection Member will attract those students who want the best education.
- School Connection Members can host "Look and Learn" seminars to area salon stylists, executed by Sassoon Academy instructors.
- School Connection Members are authorized to use School Connection posters and visual merchandising materials for branding and décor enhancing purposes.
- School Connection Members receive the same exclusivity radius for marketing purposes as a Nuts and Bolts Member school.
SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS
Nuts and Bolts and Sassoon Academy want to ensure that the highest education standards are maintained in School Connection Member schools. Therefore we have compiled the following requirements for schools who want to offer the program. To qualify, a school must:
- Be willing to invest in their teaching staff.
- Send ABC instructors for an initial 2 week training course in Los Angeles and once a year thereafter for a refresher course.
- Provide a clinic floor environment that is professional and mirrors the salon environment in appearance and level of service.
- Provide live models (clients) that represent the real world salon clientele and multiple generations.
- Be a Nuts and Bolts Member School.
